Regional airline Fly91 is expanding its presence in southern India by adding Tirupati to its growing network, strengthening air connectivity between key cities in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
The airline has opened bookings for the new services through its official website and travel agency network. With the addition of Tirupati, Fly91 will connect four cities in the Andhra-Telangana region, alongside Hyderabad, Vijayawada and Rajahmundry.
The new route is expected to benefit both religious and business travel. Tirupati is one of India’s major pilgrimage destinations and attracts large numbers of visitors to the Tirumala Sri Venkateswara Temple throughout the year. The city is also an important centre for education, commerce and other economic activities.
Fly91 will operate a daily service between Hyderabad and Tirupati. Flights connecting Tirupati and Vijayawada will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, while the Tirupati-Rajahmundry route will run on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
The expansion forms part of Fly91’s broader strategy of connecting smaller Indian cities through regional air services. The airline operates from Manohar International Airport in Mopa, Goa, which serves as its main base.
Beyond the Andhra-Telangana market, Fly91 currently has a presence in several destinations including Goa, Pune, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Sindhudurg, Jalgaon, Solapur, Agatti in Lakshadweep, Tirupati, Vijayawada, Rajahmundry and Hubballi. In Kerala, the airline operates services to Kochi.
The airline is also planning to add Kannur to its network in the near future, which could further expand its footprint in Kerala and improve connections between the state and other regional markets.
Fly91 is led by Thrissur-born Manoj Chacko, who serves as the company’s managing director and chief executive officer. Chacko, whose family has roots in Kunnamkulam, brings extensive experience in the aviation sector, including a previous role as executive vice president of Kingfisher Airlines.
Founded in 2024 and headquartered around its Goa operations, Fly91 has positioned itself as a regional carrier focused on linking smaller cities that have traditionally had fewer direct air connections.
The airline operates ATR 72-600 aircraft with a capacity of 72 passengers. Its name is derived from India’s international telephone calling code, +91, reflecting the carrier’s focus on building a domestic aviation network.
The Tirupati expansion gives Fly91 another opportunity to tap into one of India’s strongest pilgrimage and regional travel markets while broadening its network beyond major metropolitan routes.
