Kerala Financial Corporation (KFC) has been honoured with the Global Travel Market Metro Expedition Award 2026 in recognition of its outstanding financial support to the tourism and hospitality sectors. The award was presented during the Global Travel Market event held at Kovalam Leela Raviz, marking a significant achievement for the state-owned financial institution.
The recognition highlights KFC’s contribution to strengthening Kerala’s tourism ecosystem, supporting hospitality ventures, promoting MSMEs, and facilitating infrastructure development across the state. Over the years, the corporation has played a key role in providing financial assistance to businesses that drive economic growth and employment generation.
The award was received on behalf of Kerala Financial Corporation by Executive Director Premnath Ravindranath. The honour was presented by P. C. Vishnunath, Minister for Tourism, Hospitality, Culture and Cinema.
Several distinguished guests attended the award ceremony, including Kandula Durgesh, Andhra Pradesh Minister for Tourism and Culture; V. Muraleedharan, MLA and former Union Minister; Ajay Jain IAS, Special Chief Secretary to the Government of Andhra Pradesh; and V. V. Rajesh, Mayor of Thiruvananthapuram Corporation.
The event also witnessed the presence of leading figures from the tourism and business sectors, including S. N. Raghuchandran Nair, President of the Trivandrum Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TCCI); C. G. Nair, CEO of Global Travel Market; M. R. Narayanan, President of the South Kerala Hoteliers Forum (SKHF); and Prasad Manjali, Secretary General of SKHF.
The award serves as a notable endorsement of Kerala Financial Corporation’s efforts in supporting sectors that are vital to the state’s economy, particularly tourism and hospitality, which continue to be major drivers of investment and development in Kerala.
