Kochi: Uber has been granted an aggregator license by the Kerala government. This will enable Uber to further expand its operations in the state.

The company responded that it would provide more opportunities for drivers and safer and more affordable rides for customers.

Uber, which arrived in India in 2013, currently has a presence in over 125 cities across auto, bike and car segments. Amit Deshpande, Head of Cities, Uber India and South Asia, said he was happy to receive the aggregator license in Kerala.
